Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

In every celebration of the Eucharist, there should be a sufficient number of ministers of Holy Communion so that it may be distributed in a reverent and orderly manner. On occasion, the priest may call upon extraordinary ministers to assist him, i.e., duly instituted acolytes or even other faithful who have been deputed for this purpose.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion should receive sufficient spiritual, theological, and practical preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence. All ministers of Holy Communion should show the greatest reverence for the Most Holy Eucharist by their demeanor, their attire, and the manner in which they handle the consecrated bread or wine.

Lectors are volunteers who proclaim readings from the Sacred Scriptures and, on some occasions, the Responsorial Psalm and the Prayer of the Faithful. Lectors should allow adequate time to practice the readings so they can be proclaimed in the appropriate manner.

Music Ministry

Mrs. Michele Schule

The Music Ministry at St. Agnes strives to offer a positive working relationship with the pastor/presider and the congregation by helping to set the tone of the liturgy with the willingness to serve and possess a servant's heart. Members willingly respect their fellow musicians and participants and are committed to musical excellence through performance and prayer.

Children’s Choir rehearses the last Sunday of each month and sings for the 10:00 Mass that day. They also participate at the Christmas Vigil Mass and other liturgies throughout the year.

The Contemporary Group consists of guitars, piano, vocals and rehearses every Sunday at 9:30 for the 10:00 Mass. We are currently seeking vocalists, a bass guitarist, a percussionist and a flautist.

The Choir is in formation and is currently looking for members.. We’d like to begin with a small ensemble that will participate monthly at a designated mass. Rehearsals times will be determined.

All members will work with the Music Director and Cantor, who are responsible for choosing music, styles, and presentation based upon prayer and theological reflection. For more information please see Michele Schule after any of the masses.
